Christmas!
So the Christmas is come and gone. Well the Christmas season isn't really gone until after the new year's day. But the 25th is come and gone. It was a lot of fun. Going to church. Meeting different people. Meeting people never met before or not met in a long time, was OK. Celebrating the birthday of Jesus was fun. Learning something from it all was fun.
Didn't see many decorations. It's the decoration nazis turning this place into a monotonous, one-colored, alloted number of lights per house boredom. Because the Christmas tree offends people, for no reason other than the fact that they are not christian, it is removed. Or sometimes just renamed as a community tree. Never mind, that the Christmas is a christian celebration!
Anyway, just figure I'd update the blog. Not very many people read it. But hey, that's not why I have a blog. It's just so I can put my thoughts out there. :)
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!

So then....
So let's tackle this issue of blog outlook. Blogger just doesn't have enough templates. I have been trying to create a new template but I don't have the time. I also don't have the creativity to generate a really nice UI. But I do know that I don't like whatever templates are available on blogger currently.
So I have decided to use this simple template. I did make it a little wider than before. See how it goes.

Today's Talk
So after all this overhaul, the page still doesn't display correctly on some browsers when not in fullscreen mode. And I still don't like the look of this blog. If there's anybody reading this, please leave me a comment. I want to know how readable this format is.
Plus I have a good rant about my Christmas vacation but I think it's a little too late for me to be still awake. So I'm going to go to sleep and save the rant for tomorrow. Besides, this will give me a good reason to post something tomorrow.

Judge for Sale?
Yahoo! News - Judge Not for Sale, Despite eBay Listing
What a way to show the world that you're not stupid and that you should actually be taken seriously. What a way to build your case. Wow! After this, the "disgruntled litigant" should have no problems winning her case.
See Johny, how simple this law stuff is?
NEW YORK - A Manhattan housing court judge said he was not amused by an advertisement on eBay that listed him for sale — with worldwide shipping included — posted by a disgruntled litigant.
The ad, entitled "Judge for Sale," was posted last Wednesday by Janet Schoenberg, a disgruntled litigant in a landlord-tenant dispute in New York City Civil Court who said Klein was mishandling the case and that she had exhausted other ways of drawing attention to her case.

Lordship: £29.99
Yahoo! News - Become a Lord for 29.99
Wow! Even if it is fake, here in America that would be $58 well spent.

UI Overhaul
Well, a major UI overhaul is underway. I am just not finding a good enough template to work with. So I may have to design a new one. Of course in the process the IE users and Mozilla based browser users will experience the two extremes brought about by incorrect implementation of CSS. The best way to do two columns and get uniform results in all browsers is to use tables.
Until then just enjoy as much as you can a broken blog.

'Master/slave' Most Politically Incorrect Phrase
'Master/slave' Most Politically Incorrect Phrase:
Some idiot politicians would just love to ruin as much as they can simply because of a misconception they have that disagreeing with everything makes them look smarter. Maybe if they actually had something to offer they wouldn't have to go around giving others grief about absolutely trivial things. But if they were smart, they wouldn't be politicians to begin with.
Yes, I know it's an old story. I did read about it when it was first a big deal. But, I didn't have a blog then. :)
The computer term 'master/slave,' which was banned as racially offensive by a Los Angeles County purchasing department, was named the most politically incorrect term of the year on Thursday.

Old phones transform into flowers
Researchers compost old mobile phones & transform them into flowers
That's is exactly what people worry about! Discarding old items in a manner that will not affect the environment!
Oh, Get Real!
Researchers at the University of Warwick's Warwick Manufacturing Group, in conjunction with PVAXX Research & Development Ltd, have devised a novel way to recycle discarded mobile telephones - bury them and watch them transform into the flower of your choice.

I own a timber company?
Debate: Oct. 8th, 2004
So Kerry didn't wanna respond to that? Does Bush own a timber company or not?
I'm not sure exactly who will be considered the winner of this debate. But I think Kerry is starting to lose his footing. Not to mention he contradicted himself at least one time that I noticed. He answered the question one way but then went on to say that he believed and would support the opposite of that. Only if I can remember what issue it was.
The abortion response bothered me from Kerry in terms of leadership quality. He believes its wrong because he believes that life begins at conception. Then it really is not a matter of forcing your opinion on others. Then it's a matter of protecting life. And as the president, the leader, he will just stand by and let people kill others. What kind of conviction is that? He does believe that a life is being taken but he cannot force that opinion on others. If you can't stand up for what you believe in, how can you represent others? How can you defend what others believe in if you don't have the guts to defend what you believe in?
Kudos to Bush for delivering a much better performance that the last time (which I only read about). Down here in TX, we should all be rooting for Bush!
My, my, is my Bush-bias showing?

New Blog (Errrrr..... New Entry)
It's almost Friday. I can almost smell the friday in the air. One more day of faking work and then it's two days of actually not working. Unless sitting on the couch is work.
But then again, recording such awesome music as can make my colleagues bang their heads could also be called work.
Or driving out to buy all flavors of chips is also work. All mentos flavors and cigarettes.
Seriously though, I am just so glad to have a couple of days off. I just can't figure out a way yet to not have to have a fulltime job instead of working as a contractor or parttime jobs. All this with some financialy security, of course.
Maybe I should start a new search engine. The next unpatented word out of babytalk is gaga-goo-goo-gablable. Unless that has also been used to define a completely uninspired and useless mathematical concept by an equally uninspired mathematician!

Another Vice?
Drinking, smoking, cussing, or laziness - people have many vices. Now it would seem that blogging might become one of mine. Why, the time I spend fixing this site's template alone would make me a millionaire if I spend that kind of time on a business or at least a business plan.
But this world is not full of practical people. The world is full of people who have big intentions. Having big intentions is not necessarily synonymous with having big plans. It just means someday a lot of people will do something great. Today is, however, just another day. If only....
Anyway, spent a lot of time playing the piano and then the guitar. Still feeling bored though. I need to find a hobby. Not something as laborous as gardening. Something more like.... Wine Tasting. Or perhaps joining a book club (no, I'm not saying that because of Joey and the book club). Or maybe practicing guitar with a real band. Something that will allow me to get out but not mean a lot of work.
....
We all grow up and put away our childhood games
But deep inside I wonder if we really change
’cause I’m still seeking, though I’ve learned to hide so well
And I can still remember how it felt
Singing, ollie, ollie, everybody free!
Will I ever find someone pursuing me?
....
